Eagles Eye Rock is another fun hike/climb in the Toadstool Geologic Park region. It is not too difficult to find. Travel north of Crawford to Toadstool Road then go north-northwest on Toadstool Road until you come to the Sand Creek Road turnoff. Take Sand Creek Road west, past the Drifter's Cookshack to the junction with Milo Road and Meng Drive. Take Milo Road 1 mile south to Road 945. Follow 945 through the pasture about 1 mile. It will cut sharply back to the south. At the bottom of the slope, you can park anywhere off the roadway. Some sturdy 4-wheel drives go up the road, but the first corner is a real challenge that could cause a broken suspension or other problems. The hike to the top is less than 1 mile and offers some great views along the way. The highpoint on the summit area is the south rise.
